The ceremony will last approximately 60 minutes.
The ceremony will take place in the JetBlue Sky Theater at the Cradle of Aviation Museum and Education Center on Charles Lindbergh Boulevard in Garden City. The phone number is 516.572.4111, and the website is at Cradle of Aviation.
Please respond to Career Services by calling 516.796.1000 by October 13. You must respond to receive your seat assignment and to ensure that your diploma will be available at the ceremony. If you miss the October 13 deadline, you will not be able to attend.
There is a limit of two guest tickets for each graduating student. To be put on a waiting list for extra tickets, please contact the Career Services department.
Please let us know if any guests will require handicapped accessible seating. Also inform us should you need special seating for guests with infants.
Each graduate will receive a diploma cover with a placeholder when called to the front of the room. Students will get their official diplomas at the conclusion of the ceremony upon return of their caps and gowns.
Most instructors will be attending. Please check with your Thursday evening teacher to verify if class will be cancelled for the night.
Nasrin G. Ahmad, Town Clerk for Hempstead, will present the keynote address to the graduates. According to the town’s website, Ms. Ahmad joined “the Hempstead Town Clerk’s Office in 1998…and has been instrumental in promoting and expanding a multitude of services offered by the office, including the popular Child Safety and Senior Citizen Identification programs and the convenient One-Stop Passport Shop.
