SUMMARY:Computer Technology Virtual Open House 6 P.M.
DESCRIPTION:Explore a Career in IT\nCurious about a career in tech but don’t have a degree or experience? This is for you. You do not need previous professional IT experience to attend. If you enjoy working with computers or have been considering a career in technology\, this is an easy way to explore your options and learn what your next step could be. \nIn this program\, from day one\, you’ll build your own computer and keep it\, then learn to support\, secure\, and troubleshoot real systems and networks. You’ll train toward your CompTIA A+ certification. \nThe world is obsessed with A.I.\, but here is a reality check: An algorithm can’t pick up a screwdriver. A.I. can’t crawl through a server room\, it can’t terminate a fiber optic cable\, and it can’t physically build the machines that hold the cloud together. Behind every virtual experience is a physical server that needs to be built\, secured\, and maintained by a skilled professional. \nEmbrace a unique opportunity to explore\, learn\, and engage at a virtual open house for both the Levittown and Medford campuses for the Computer Technician Networking Specialist program. Learn how to train for a career in IT in as little as 7½ months. \nAt Hunter Business School\, we don’t teach you to just sit behind a screen. We teach you to master the machine. Our Computer Tech program is for the problem-solvers who want to get their hands on the hardware. From the beginning of the program\, you aren’t just learning theory; you’re building your own computer\, managing real network infrastructure\, and gaining the “boots-on-the-ground” skills that make you indispensable. \n \nVisit the Computer Technician Networking Specialist program page on our website to get more information about this career and field of study. In this program\, you will learn how to provide network support\, monitor and troubleshoot cloud computing\, work with the Mac and Linux operating systems\, and study security and performance\, to name just a few topics. The Career Services department works with students throughout the entire program. \nDuring this live event\, you will…\n\nExplore hands-on training in computers and networking\nLearn how students build\, repair\, and troubleshoot computers\nDiscover skills used in IT support and technical service roles\nLearn about preparation for CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications\nExplore potential career paths in computer technology\nAsk your questions live\n\nHear from students\, staff\, and faculty members. Learn about how we offer job assistance. \nFinancial Aid will explain how to finance your education\, if qualified. And you’ll be able to schedule a personal interview and tour of the campus! \nDiscover how Hunter Business School can turn your knack for tech into a high-demand career! Whether you’re the “tech person” for your family or looking to pivot into a stable\, growing industry\, this session will show you the blueprint for success. \nRegistration\nTap or click here to register for the Computer Technician Networking Specialist virtual Open House. \nRegister now to reserve your spot. See you virtually on Thursday\, August 20\, at 6 p.m.!

SUMMARY:MAD2603 Medical Assistant Pinning Ceremony (Both Campuses)
DESCRIPTION:Hunter Business School holds Medical Assistant pinning ceremonies for students who have successfully completed their classroom and lab work and are about to go out on externship\, where they work under the direction of a medical provider at an actual facility\, such as a doctor’s office or urgent care center. \nThey are given words of encouragement\, told what to expect\, and are congratulated on officially entering the medical field. It signifies the completion of the requirements of the program. The Medical Assistant Creed is recited\, and each student is called to the front of the room and pinned by a faculty member. \nMedical assistants are multiskilled members of the medical team.
