On Thursday in the evening and Friday during the day, Father’s Day baskets are being raffled off. Tickets are being distributed at no charge by Student Council representatives.
Think about it. Wouldn’t any dad love one of these beautiful baskets? Don’t be left out. Show your love for anyone you call Dad.
Don’t you dare forget your father or anyone else who is fatherly to you. This means brothers, uncles, teachers, and of course your own father. Good luck!
The nation’s first Father’s Day was celebrated on June 19, 1910, in the state of Washington. However, it was not until 1972—58 years after President Woodrow Wilson made Mother’s Day official—that the day honoring fathers became a nationwide holiday in the United States. [History.com]
