My biggest love and passion is drawing and designing. I started at a young age. It was the only thing that let me escape a lot of problems and stress. I wasn’t popular when I was young because I was foreign born, and it was hard to communicate with other people.
When I was nine years old, I won an art competition with students from different countries in Europe. I came in first at my school. My winning drawing remains in Greece today. After that, I won several other competitions.
But after that passion, I started to love fixing things—and that includes fixing people when they get hurt. I had already studied a little health care in Europe. That’s why I chose medical assisting. I wanted to experience something different, something I was interested in and really liked.
After entering the Medical Assistant program, I decided that I would never stop trying new things.
