It’s BBQ time and time to join the fun! Enjoy something to eat, and get to know your schoolmates. Medford’s End-of-Season Barbecue is a day for staff and students to let their hair down and take a break from the classroom.
There will be a Jenga tournament, a tug of war, cornhole (bean bag toss), horseshoes, and KanJam…and prizes!
Food includes hamburgers, hot dogs, and corn on the cob.
Hunter will provide all the food and beverages. If there’s that favorite chocolate mousse or snickerdoodle you’re so good at making that you want to share with everyone else, please note that any food you bring to the barbecue is for everyone to partake.
Remember to bring beach chairs to school if you want somewhere to sit at the barbecue. Come in appropriate, dressed down attire. Shorts are okay.
Sign-up sheets may be found posted outside Chuck’s office on the Student Council bulletin board.
No alcohol or illicit drugs will be permitted (what a surprise!). Any student caught bringing such antisocial substances to the event will be asked to leave and then dealt with on the following Monday.
Student attendance is mandatory. This is a regular school day, and we’ll check if you’re present. If you do not come to the barbecue, hours will be deducted from your attendance record. (Hey, you get out of class. Why wouldn’t you come?) And you’ll get home before you normally would on a typical weekday.
Don’t forget to email photos from the barbecue for our social media pages by tapping on Stacy Schiefer.
If you have any comments or suggestions, they would be much appreciated. See you there!
